The world renowned award winning singer/songwriter India.Arie debuted in 2001 with her Motown release Acoustic Soul. She followed up in 2002 with her sophomore CD Voyage To India and then in 2006 released her third album, the more personally expressive Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship. She has sold over 7 million copies worldwide and has received numerous awards and nominations including 16 Grammy nominations, 2 Grammy awards, along with awards from BET, NAACP Billboard Music, Radio Music, MTV, VH1 Vogue Fashion, Essence Magazine and others. She has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Elton John, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Ashley Judd, John Legend and so many more. In between touring and writing music, India.Arie has served as an US Ambassador for UNICEF and has traveled to Africa several times addressing the AIDS crisis. She has used and shared her music to bring awareness to various causes; her single "I am Not My Hair" was the Centerpiece of Lifetime's Award-Winning Public Awareness Campaign, "Stop Breast Cancer for Life" and her song "Beautiful Flower" was used to raise funds for the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. In June 2008 she launched her own label imprint through Universal Republic called Soulbird Music with her first signing singer/songwriter Anthony David. Truly, truly this cd had to grow on me. I first listened to it about twice and took it out the cd player and didn't play it again until a friend spoke of how much she loved it. I said really, well maybe I need to listen to it again. I did and it has grown on me. I have everyone of India's cds and I won't stop buying them just because this one wasn't my fav. However she did redeem herself with me when I saw her in concert this summer and she was awesome singing and dancing in the rain, swating the mosquitos, and fire flys. India is an awesome artist and she has a beautiful spirit. Her lyrics are what I love most about her music.

This is a great CD, I have all of her CD's and she continues to perfect her style while still being true to her music....I love, He heals me, Long Goodbye, River Rise, Chocolate High, and Therapy. Give it a listen, you will love it. Keep doing your thing India...

I love India.Arie's incredible voice. This is not one of her best cd's, but it's pleasurable nevertheless. Her duet with Musiq SoulChild is tops.

Damn, I own every India.Arie CD and they are actually all 5star efforts, even though I gotta say that her first CD "Acoustic Soul" has to be my favourite.
India's long awaited Vol.2 sets off right where Vol.1 left us two years ago. Great mellow guitar driven tracks with meaningful and soulful lyrics. This is a CD to relax to! Check out "Chocolate High w/ Musiq", "Ghetto", "The Cure" and "Long Goodbye", which are probably the best tracks on this great soul CD. Go on girl.
