The world renowned award winning singer/songwriter India.Arie debuted in 2001 with her Motown release Acoustic Soul. She followed up in 2002 with her sophomore CD Voyage To India and then in 2006 released her third album, the more personally expressive Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship. She has sold over 7 million copies worldwide and has received numerous awards and nominations including 16 Grammy nominations, 2 Grammy awards, along with awards from BET, NAACP Billboard Music, Radio Music, MTV, VH1 Vogue Fashion, Essence Magazine and others. She has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Elton John, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Ashley Judd, John Legend and so many more. In between touring and writing music, India.Arie has served as an US Ambassador for UNICEF and has traveled to Africa several times addressing the AIDS crisis. just as her others have.
It's typical India. So if you like her music from previous endeavors; then you'll like
this one as well. If you're not really that familiar with her.. check out this project.
It will be worth you listening.
Very Encouraging project with great tunes that kinda stick in your head for a while.

This CD was a gify for a friend. I listened to the CD to insure it wasn't scatched. I played it two or three times to get a feel for the music and I enjoyed it.My favorite song is Pearl

I enjoyed the 2nd testimony. There were a few songs on this album that spoke to me in a very real way. This one spoke a lot of being healed from the inside out. She saw the world from a view that many of us need. I plus I like the cover :-)!
